On 13th March 2018 the Chancellor, Philip Hammond, delivered his first ‘Spring Statement’.
As was widely expected, the statement and announcements made that day did not contain any alternations to tax or spending. There were no announcements affecting pensions.
In the days running up to the statement he had made it clear this was not a ‘fiscal event’ meaning it was only of a reporting nature.
