InvestAcc Pension Administration Limited is a specialist award winning SIPP and SSAS provider, working with authorised financial advisers throughout the UK.
The Minerva SIPP is operated by InvestAcc Pension Administration Limited and was launched in 2003 to offer a more flexible approach to retirement planning, together with an efficient and personal service.
At the heart of the scheme is a cash deposit account (although investors are free to choose an account with this, or any other UK authorised deposit taker).
The scheme allows a wider choice of investment over traditional insurance company pension plans, including commercial property and land (which can be held on an individual or group basis, with or without borrowing), unit trusts and OEICs, and individual stocks, shares and ETFs.
SIPP Lite is based on our Minerva SIPP and is for individuals that don’t require the full range of investment options initially – meaning that we can set very low fees whilst maintaining high quality of service. Plans can be upgraded to the full Minerva SIPP at any time.
InvestAcc SSAS is particularly useful for business owners who want to run their pension affairs alongside the business, taking advantage of legislation unique to SSAS.
We are a specialist SIPP and SSAS Provider, a fully owned subsidiary of InvestAcc Holdings Limited.
We have been operating in these markets for over 25 years. The SSAS business was formed in 1997, and in 2003 we launched our flagship product, the Minerva SIPP. The Flexi SIPP (a specialist pooled Family SIPP) was launched in November 2011, and the range was completed by the addition of our latest offering, SIPP Lite, which has been available since July 2012.
In the case of SIPPs, investments are held by a separate company, InvestAcc Pension Trustees Limited, along with the SIPP member as co-trustee. Although we are recognised as the joint legal owners, we have no ability to use any of the scheme assets for our own benefit. The trust structure clearly separates the trading company, InvestAcc Pension Administration Limited, from the assets of SIPP members, in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practice.
For Minerva SIPP and SIPP Lite plans, you can read about our designated banking arrangements and the level of FSCS protection available at www.investaccpensions.co.uk/sipp-banking-arrangements.
Underlying investments made by SIPP members are a matter primarily for them and their advisers, and these investments may or may not be afforded any further financial protections. Note that InvestAcc Pension Administration Limited does not provide financial or investment advice of any kind.
We operate an efficient business model from our base in Carlisle with no borrowings, having grown steadily and organically.
We meet 242% of the regulator's minimum Capital Adequacy requirement (as at 31st December 2024). Being part of InvestAcc Holdings Limited, we have the benefit of access to further capital, should it be required. We were awarded a B- financial strength rating by AKG Financial Analytics Limited in November 2024.
The strengthening of the FCA's capital requirements, effective 1st September 2016, puts us at an advantage to some of our competitors (whether big or small).
Our plans are to grow the business, whilst delivering high quality service to our customers and their advisers.
The ongoing changes to SIPP regulation are something which we embrace and feel will further enhance our position relative to other market participants.
The Minerva SIPP can invest in a wider range of assets including commercial property and land, on an individual or group basis. Any combination of permitted investments may be made within a Minerva SIPP including deposit accounts, DFM, open market platform/wrap accounts, stockbroker accounts and trustee investment plans, all held together within the same SIPP.
SIPP Lite is a lower cost option, for those that do not require multiple investment accounts, or access to commercial property and land at outset. SIPP Lite members are restricted to a maximum of one investment account, to run alongside the default SIPP bank account. This investment account could be another bank account or ONE of the following: stockbroker account, DFM, open market platform/wrap account or a trustee investment plan. For individuals that require additional investments at a later date, including commercial property and land, they can upgrade their SIPP Lite plan to a Minerva SIPP.
A Small Self-Administered Scheme (SSAS) is a type of UK registered pension scheme. Each SSAS is governed by its own trust deed and rules and is a separate legal entity to the sponsoring employer. The sponsoring employer establishes the SSAS and invites members to join. Any individual employed by the sponsoring employer (or a participating employer) may join the scheme and all members are appointed as trustees alongside the professional trustee. SSAS trustees have a very wide range of investment options, including the ability to make secured loans to the sponsoring employer of up to 50% of the net asset value of the scheme, subject to certain conditions.

"I am very impressed with the level of service I and my clients receive. Every aspect from the initial enquiry to the placing of investments and payment of benefits within a new SIPP has been dealt with very efficiently. I have no hesitation in recommending InvestAcc to clients and other advisers alike for a 1st class service, with an extremely competitive and transparent fee structure."
