We currently have the following vacancies and are looking for efficient, well-organised individuals with excellent interpersonal skills to join our rapidly expanding team.

Finance Manager (Carlisle)

This is a full time position, although part time may be considered for the right candidate.

Job Specification

Manage and oversee all the daily transactions within our Self Invested Personal Pension (SIPP), which amount to circa £300 Million per annum and provide accurate monthly financial reports to the Board.

Ideally the candidate will be at least part qualified to CIMA/ACCA/ACA

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee & provide training to the accounts team (7 staff)
  • Oversee
    • Daily Bank transactions
    • Monthly Payroll (300+ Members)
    • Invoice payments
    • Monthly Tax reclaim from HMRC
    • Annual Tax reconciliation for HMRC
    • Fee invoicing and collection
    • VAT registrations and payments
  • Reconcile the bank on a weekly / monthly basis
  • Management of client account
  • Report to Directors on a monthly basis
    • Debtors
    • Rental arrears
    • Fees
  • Continually review processes and make recommendations for improvement
  • Liaise with other departmental heads to ensure smooth operations

The ideal candidate should be:

  • intelligent on both a technical and emotional level;
  • articulate in both verbal and written communications;
  • able to multi task, prioritise own workload and achieve set targets without supervision;
  • detailed, accurate and have an attention to detail

Property Administrator (Carlisle)

Our Property portfolio currently consists of over 1,800 commercial properties, located throughout the UK the role will involve the on-going management of all property, including liaison with solicitors, banks, Financial Advisers and Pension Scheme members on all property related matters, including leases, rent reviews, property development, liquidation of tenants and administration of property expenditure.

It may be beneficial if the candidate has a background in residential or commercial property administration or conveyancing; has previously worked in a legal profession or has a law degree; however this is not essential as full training is provided.

Accounts Administrator (Carlisle)

With annual turnover exceeding £600m and approximately 100,000 banking transactions per annum within our Pension Schemes, you will liaise with Financial Advisers, Banks, Financial institutions and Pension Scheme members to ensure the timely and accurate administration of all financial transactions, including daily banking and reconciliation of receipts, administration of payments via BACS and cheque, VAT registrations and quarterly Returns, issuing invoices and keeping account records up to date.

The candidate must be accurate with a keen attention to detail; it may be beneficial to have a background of accountancy or bookkeeping; be studying or have achieved a minimum of AAT level 2; however this is not essential as full training is provided.

Pension Administrator (Carlisle)

With over 5,600 Pension Scheme members and over £1.6 billion assets under administration we require an individual to assist with the on-going administration of our Self Invested Pension Plans. You will liaise with Financial Advisers, Banks, Financial institutions and Pension Scheme members on all pension related matters, to ensure timely and accurate administration of pension related matters and adherence to current legislation, including:

  • administration of applications received
  • preparation of illustrations
  • arrangement of transfers to and from the scheme
  • arrangement of investments
  • calculation of benefits available for members
  • valuation of members pension assets

It may be beneficial if the candidate has previous administration experience within a financial services environment; however this is not essential as full training will be provided.
