2027 Inheritance Tax Changes
From time to time we update our Terms of Business for Intermediaries.
Note there is no need for advisers to sign the new document, if they have already accepted a previous version of our Terms of Business for Intermediaries.
You can download a copy of the updated document here: https://www.investaccpensions.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Financial-Adviser-Terms-of-Business-29-08-2025.pdf
The following is a summary of the changes:
– The definition of ‘InvestAcc’ has been updated, to prepare for potential future acquisitions of other businesses.
– The definition of ‘SIPP’ and ‘SSAS’ have been updated to include potential future products and services, which may be introduced or acquired.
– Clause 3.7 alters the time an intermediary has from 2 working days to without unreasonable delay.
– Clause 5.7 alters the timescale for payment of adviser fees to ‘where possible, within the timescales published on our website’.
– Clause 10.2 now refers to the latest data protection laws.
– Clause 13 has updated contact details for complaints.
– Clause 14 has been updated to a mutual basis for both parties.
– Clause 18.2 has been updated to reflect that an intermediary’s obligation over its employees will likely to be dealt with elsewhere, such as a contract of employment, rather than express binding undertakings. This change does not reduce the intermediary’s obligation to ensure proper treatment of confidential information.
– Clause 18.3 provides more time for an intermediary to comply.
