Welcome to our online SIPP application for financial advisers.

Note that our online application form means that you can complete the form online, but you must then print it and arrange for signatures, and then post it to us. We cannot establish a SIPP based on the online application alone.

Before you start, you need to agree that:

  • You are a UK based financial adviser, authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority to conduct regulated activities, including those which are being proposed here
  • Where relevant, that you and your firm hold the appropriate regulatory permissions to handle any pension transfers
  • You have given advice to this client in relation to the establishment of this SIPP
  • You can confirm your firm’s acceptance of our Terms of Business for financial advisers.
  • You have provided to your client details of the SIPP product for which this application is being made, including our product Key Features, Schedule of Fees and Terms and Conditions.
  • You have requested, or will request prior to advice being given, an illustration for this new SIPP plan
  • You possess the authority within your own firm to complete online business on behalf of your clients
  • You understand InvestAcc may refuse to accept an application without giving a reason
  • Our application form is available online, but successful completion will mean that you will need to print the final document in full, and have it signed where appropriate by (a) your client ; (b) witness ; (c) any employer making regular contributions or deduction from pay ; (d) parent or guardian in the case of minors ; and (e) yourself to confirm you have completed the Verification of Identity checks.

Product Overview

Minerva SIPP

The Minerva SIPP can invest in a wider range of assets including commercial property and land, on an individual or group basis. Any combination of permitted investments may be made within a Minerva SIPP including deposit accounts, DFM, open market platform/wrap accounts, stockbroker accounts and trustee investment plans, all held together within the same SIPP.

SIPP Lite

SIPP Lite is a lower cost option, for those that do not require multiple investment accounts, or access to commercial property and land at outset. SIPP Lite members are restricted to a maximum of one investment account, to run alongside the default SIPP bank account. This investment account could be another bank account or ONE of the following: stockbroker account, DFM, open market platform/wrap account or a trustee investment plan. For individuals that require additional investments at a later date, including commercial property and land, they can upgrade their SIPP Lite plan to a Minerva SIPP.

SSAS

A Small Self-Administered Scheme (SSAS) is a type of UK registered pension scheme. Each SSAS is governed by its own trust deed and rules and is a separate legal entity to the sponsoring employer. The sponsoring employer establishes the SSAS and invites members to join. Any individual employed by the sponsoring employer (or a participating employer) may join the scheme and all members are appointed as trustees alongside the professional trustee. SSAS trustees have a very wide range of investment options, including the ability to make secured loans to the sponsoring employer of up to 50% of the net asset value of the scheme, subject to certain conditions.
